Rides
We ride from Bordeaux Bakery on Thorndon Quay, weather permitting, every Saturday at 8am. The only exception to this is public holidays, when we leave from a different pre-agreed point. After the ride, those that wish to, stop over at Bordeaux for a coffee.
We also enter a number of organised rides throughout the year with the main focus on Taupo.
We also have regular spin classes at Les Mills on The Terrace every Monday at 6.45pm at a cost of $10. We have some social events throughout the year that cyclists and partners can attend if they wish.
SANZ Spin for Charity
At the SANZ spin class on Monday 20 September we are spinning for charity. We want to support Wellington Free Ambulance, which provides an essential community service and thank them for the great service they have provided to SANZ cyclists over the last year.
The class will cost $20 instead of the normal $10. The extra amount will go straight to Wellington Free Ambulance. In return for your contribution you will have a fun night – we have some excellent prizes to give away at the class – thanks to our sponsors. After the class we will have free beer and soft drinks – thanks to Pak ‘n Save Petone for their generous sponsorship. You will need to book for the class by ringing Les Mills on 499 4777 – book early to avoid disappointment!
